Some projects are not that pretty especially during the remodeling phase. This Original Craftsman Kitchen gets renovated with some walls and appliances relocated.  The Sink Base use to be in a peninsula but the space flow worked better with the Sink moved in front of the window. The project was placed on hold for a while due to a family emergency so the homeowner build a temporary sink base with 2x4 and put prefab laminate top on, hooked up the plumbing, with a dishwasher and they were ready to go; for a while. . . .  

The homeowner was going to rent out the house; and he wanted everything to look good and when he did resell the home wanted some lasting value. The budget of 10 K is a tight one for a renovation from electrical upgrade to the kitchen sink, but it was accomplished.

They first went to Home Depot for a cabinet estimate, which HD filled the kitchen with wall to wall cabinets; (this is called a box designer you have a space-fill it with a cabinet). The homeowner has getting overwhelmed; that is when he called me. I drew up 3 proposal layouts to go: The homeowners chose which one worked for them budget wise and look wise. The one I really like is the one with a pass through (http://clockwisedesign.biz. see at the end under Option A), but the cost of everything shot his small budget.
